How to Send Fax From Gmail
Finally, you need to compose the message. With the fax recipient number at hand, log in to your Gmail account and click on the “Compose mail” button. A new window will appear where you compose your email message.
In the TO: field you’ll have to enter the fax number following a structure provided by your fax company of choice. In general, the structure goes like this faxnumber@faxprovider.com.
For example, sending a fax over Gmail with Ringcentral will require you to enter faxnumber@rcfax.com, while sending a fax from MyFax would require faxnumber@myfax.com. This information is given to you upon signing up with an email faxing service.
In the SUBJECT field of your Gmail fax, you will enter what will become the fax header, Type in the MESSAGE field, what will be the first page or cover page of the fax, and finally add the actual document as an attachment from your email. In Gmail this is very easy, below the Subject field there is an option that says “Attach a file”; just click it and follow the instructions.
